Leadville/Lake County Fire-Rescue reported that the grass fire at Hayden Meadows, started on Aug. 5, is still 100 percent contained but is still burning in the center. LLCFR is continuing to monitor the fire to ensure it remains contained. LLCFR received assistance from Red White and Blue Fire Protection District, Summit Fire & EMS, the US Forest Service, Chaffee County Fire Protection District and Douglas County’s helicopter team in fighting the fire. Read more ...
