When you are ready for your initial inspection (at any point after the building foundation has been established and the landscaping plan finalized), fill out the form below.

After receiving this form, a Wildland Division inspector will contact you to schedule your inspection at a later date.

Beginning in 2026, Summit County and its municipalities adopted the Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code. New state rules under the code require fire-resistant materials and design for most new construction and major remodels, effective for permits applied for after May 4, 2026. Learn what the code requires and whether it applies to your project here.
