Evacuation lifted in Silverthorne after gas leak (KUSA-9News)

People can return to their homes in a Silverthorne neighborhood now that evacuations orders have been lifted after a gas main break Tuesday afternoon.  The evacuation order has been lifted for people within 500 feet of Golden Eagle Road and North Chipmunk Lane in the Willowbrook neighborhood as of 7:11 p.m., according to a spokesperson for the town. Xcel Energy is repairing the high-pressure gas line, the town said, and the company will provide additional information regarding gas service. An Xfinity contractor was boring in the area and hit a high-pressure gas line about 3:45 p.m., causing a major gas leak.
