Summit Fire & EMS firefighters extinguished a fire in a unit in the seven-story Edge employee-housing complex at Copper Mountain on Tuesday, limiting the damage and safely evacuating the building. With the assistance of Breckenridge-based Red, White & Blue Fire and the Summit County Sheriff's Office as well as Copper Mountain security, firefighters were able to keep the fire confined to the single unit on the third floor, although minor smoke damage may be noticed.
