Colorado state forester, fire chiefs raise alarm about further federal cuts that would impact fire preparedness (Summit Daily News)

In each of the past five years, the Colorado government has received between $5 million and $20 million in federal state and private forestry grants, including millions of dollars in state fire assistance, but firefighters across the state are sounding the alarm about federal budget cuts.
